Fifth for Frost in Ponta Grossa

Danish champion Kristian Frost claimed his fifth PSA  title of the year when he beat local hero Rafael Alarcon in the final of the Ponta Lagoa Internacional Challenger in Brazil.

After taking a two-game lead and going ahead 4-1 in the third game at Clube Ponta Lagoa in Ponta Grossa, Frost saw fourth seed Alarcon fight back to draw level – before the players shared the lead, point by point, until eleven-all.

“But then, to the frustration of the public that sold out the seats of Ponta Lagoa, Kristian won the match,” explained event promoter Alexandre Bulyk.

Frost’s victory after 78 minutes marks the Dane’s fifth PSA  title of the year, and the seventh of his career.
